LINEAR / AXIAL AUTOMATIC SPRING-ACTION TENSIONERS
The linear tensioners are automatic devices that serve to maintain the correct tension of the transmission chain or belt, thereby increasing their durability.
They automatically recover any slack in the chain or belt that may develop with use, preventing the appearance of vibrations, noise and breakage due to slack.
These automatic tensioners do not require any kind of upkeep and make it possible to save time on maintenance and management of the machinery on which they are installed.
The TO—ET – TA models consist of a base in special, very sturdy, antiseize aluminium alloy with tensile strength of 440MPa that ensures perfect glide on high tensile strength galvanized steel rods, to which the chain tensioning head or shoe is fastened. They are fitted on the inside with elastic elements in steel with a very high yield point and initial preload, which makes it possible to obtain a more constant pressure excursion. In addition, the mechanical specifications of the material are such as to prevent wear on the internal elastic elements caused by movement, and to have a product of absolute excellence in this field.
The KU models are equipped with PTFE type glide bushings for the movement of the rods.
The NT models have an aluminium base with tensile strength of 240MPa, completely enclosed to prevent infiltrations by external agents. The galvanized steel rods glide thanks to self-lubricating plastic bushings.
Models TO – TA – NT have a tensioning shoe or head in wear-resistant plastic material with low friction coefficient (polyethylene 1,000,000 UHMW with dynamic dry steel friction coefficient of 0.06) and can withstand a temperature of 80°C. With different profiles, the polyethylene shoes have a wear coefficient substantially equal to zero a these temperatures and are available for ISO or ASA, simple, double and triple chain types.
The ET models are particularly indicated when working in the presence of high temperatures where rubber and plastic materials would be subject to wear. They can work at temperatures as high as 200°C.
Brackets in galvanized steel or heads in light diecast alloy are mounted on the gliding rods, where it is also possible to install pulleys, chain tensioning pinions, etc.
The ET models can also be supplied in the TIRO version.
The TO05 models are the version in plastic material and have the same mechanical parameters as the previous models. They can withstand working temperatures up to 65°C.
It is possible to produce, for all models, a version with glide rods and assembly parts in stainless style type AISI 304/316, springs in AISI 302.
The SS version completely in stainless steel has the base machined from solid AISI 304, PTFE bushings for rod glide and all mechanical parts and fasteners in AISI 304/316, spring in AISI 302.
